Jody Smart plays rythym, lead, and slide gutar equally well.  A 30+ year veteran of both the local scene as well as a member of several touring bands, Jody also adds harmony and lead vocals. Jody was a founding member of the noted area band Bittersweet (1988- 2004), and was the one of the primary songwriters and lead guitarist in the band.  Bittersweet opened for many national artists, from B.J. Thomas to The Judds.  Jody also played in bands with former Inside Joke member Bill Jones. Jody's guitar of choice is a Gibson Les Paul and he plays through a Peavy amplifier.
