The Inside Joke band is currently working on a demo featuring a variety of cover songs and one original song. It will be available very soon here and on FaceBook.

Jody Smart, Chuck Givens, Jacob Smart, Rob Boynton 

That's right, the Inside Joke Band has changed! Two of our friends have moved on.  Bill Jones, original founding member, has moved on to the lead guitarist position with the award winning Nashville Gospel group, The Mercy Mountain Boys.  Terry Parks, the original drummer, has retired from active playing to spend more time with his family and to run his numerous businesses.

     So, that leaves founding member Rob Boynton (bass guitar, vocals) and Jody Smart (guitar, vocals), a band-mate in the past with Bill Jones, who had recently joined the group.  Now, the newest members of the band have come on board.  Jacob Smart (drums) is Jody's son and has outstanding skills despite only being in his early 20's.  New lead singer, rythym guitarist and harmonica player Chuck Givens has played in bands in the past with Jody Smart.  Rob will continue to contribute lead vocals, but is stepping away from being the primary vocalist to concentrate more on the music.  Together Chuck, Jody and Rob 's vocal blend and three-part harmonies will be a treat.

     The band is also changing direction musically somewhat, as they are concentrating more on the classic and southern rock genres, while still playing the blues and old and new country music.  But you can still expect excellent musicianship, song selection and energy from the Inside Joke Band as they move ahead to the future.
